What is Virtuoso?

Virtuoso reflects Dr. Oetker’s many years of baking expertise and never-ending passion for ensuring that perfection is baked into every pizza we make. The Virtuoso is someone who excels above and beyond in the performance of their chosen art form. In our case, it’s crafting best-in-class, premium pizza by applying very deliberate techniques, imagination and creativity to produce a frozen pizza that is so good you will forget it was ever frozen.

Did the recipe change too?

The recipes remain exactly the same as they were when they were Ristorante flavors. The pizzas have the exact same delicious taste but with a new brand name and updated packaging to more accurately reflect the best-in-class, quality pizza that has always been inside the box.

Are Virtuoso Pizzas egg/peanut/nut free?

At Dr. Oetker, we have an allergen control program in place to minimize the risk of allergen carry-over during production by implementing proper cleaning and inspection monitoring programs. Our facility that produces Virtuoso Pizza does not use any egg, peanut or nut ingredients in the production plant. It is our policy to ensure that the product label accurately reflects the presence of food allergen ingredients in the product. What are the varieties of Virtuoso Pizza available?

Our Thin + Crispy pizza, with its fresh and flavorful toppings and real Italian taste, is available in nine delicious varieties: Mozzarella & Pesto, Signature Spinach, Pepperoni Pesto, Seasoned Chicken, Four Cheese, Tomato & Goat Cheese, Vegetable Medley, Mushroom, Pepperoni & Ham.

Our Classic Crust pizza features a thicker crust that has a crispy outside and light and airy inside. Classic Crust is available in five tasty varieties: Pepperoni, Margherita, Mediterranean Style Chicken, Vegetable & Goat Cheese, and Kale & Bacon with Ricotta.

How do I prepare my Virtuoso Pizza?

Thin + Crispy Baking Instructions:

Conventional oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F, and remove pizza from all packaging. Place frozen pizza directly on the middle oven rack, and bake for 10 – 12 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.

Classic Crust Baking Instructions:

Conventional oven: Preheat the oven to 415°F, and remove pizza from all packaging. Place frozen pizza directly on the middle oven rack, and bake for 16 – 17 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.

Can I Grill a Virtuoso Pizza?

Grill: Preheat grill to medium (approx. 400°F). Remove the pizza from all packaging. Place frozen pizza on baking sheet and place baking sheet on grill. Close lid and cook for 11 - 13 minutes until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted, rotating frequently.

Is the Virtuoso Pizza microwaveable?

No, Virtuoso Pizza is not microwaveable, but see above on how you can prepare your pizzas to perfection.
